Ukraine Not To Allow Humanitarian Aid On Russian Federation's Motor Transport Into Its Territory

The Red Cross says Russia must provide details of the humanitarian aid it offers for the east of Ukraine.

Ukraine will not allow humanitarian aid on the Russian Federation's motor transport into its territory, Deputy Chief of the President's Staff Valerii Chalyi has told a news briefing.

Chalyi underlines, the Russian Federation's cargo must be handed over to representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

The Red Cross has to reload humanitarian aid from the Russian Federation's lorries to vehicles leased by the ICRC.

In his words the humanitarian aid mission is international, and, if wants to, Russia can join it alongside the European Union and the United States.

Apart from this, he says it goes of a one-time action of international humanitarian aid to Luhansk.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, President Petro Poroshenko and ICRC President Peter Maurer during a telephone conversation achieved agreement that the ICRC would shoulder organisational and logistic issues of the international humanitarian mission for the east of Ukraine.

The Red Cross says Russia must provide details of the humanitarian aid it offers for the east of Ukraine.

The Presidential Administration says terrorists refuse to agree on terms of delivery of international humanitarian aid to Luhansk.
