07:16 President Petro Poroshenko has appointed Vasyl Hrytsak as the head of the Antiterrorist center under the Security Service of Ukraine and dismissed Vasyl Krutov, read presidential decrees No. 579 and No. 584 of July 7.

Besides, with his decree No. 578 Poroshenko dismissed Krutov as the first deputy chairperson of the Security Service and appointed Hrytsak to replace him with the decree No. 583.

11:29 The Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint-stock company did not pay Russia's gas monopoly Gazprom for the natural gas supplied in June, Naftogaz press service has told Ukrainian News Agency.

Ukraine was importing Russian gas until June 16, when Gazprom stopped supplying the fuel.

On June 16, Naftogaz filed a lawsuit to the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce(SCC) against Gazprom with a demand to recover from Gazprom excess payment for the gas the Russian monopolist had been supplying to Naftogaz since 2010.

11:30 An Austrian court has attached EUR 5 million worth of real estate owned by Member of Parliament Oleksii Azarov (Party of Regions faction), son of former prime minister Mykola Azarov, said Austria Press Agency.

It says a court in Austria has attached LADA Holding Anstalt's (owned by Oleksii Azarov) real property, worth EUR 5 million, in Vienna and Styria.

The APA says Austria's Federal Agency for State Protection and Counterterrorism (Bundesamt fuer Verfassungsschutz und Terrorismusbekaempfung) has informed that Azarov's son is the real owner of LADA Holding Anstalt although he himself many times denied his affiliation with the company.

In June, the Austrian medium Die Presse reported Austrian prosecutors to have opened an investigation against MP Azarov on suspicion of money laundering.

12:54 A total of 64% of respondents questioned by the Research&Branding Group company are satisfied with election of Vitali Klitschko as Kyiv city mayor, results of respective poll say.

At that 23% of pollees are not satisfied with Klitschko's election.

Besides, each second respondent (51%) is satisfied with new composition of the Kyiv city council and 26% are not.

According to results of the poll, capital residents are optimistic about the election of new city authorities.

A total of 40% of pollees expect improvement of socioeconomic situation in Kyiv after election of Klitschko.

At the same time, 31% of Kyivans deem that new mayor will not drastically change the situation in the city and 8% expect further worsening of socioeconomic situation in the capital.

Respective poll was held between June 21 and July 1.

A total of 803 Kyivans aged 18 and more took part in the poll.

The sampling error is 3.2%.

13:30 The Justice Ministry has applied the Kyiv District Administrative Court to prohibit activity of the Communist Party of Ukraine, Ukrainian News Agency has learned from the Ministry press service.

"Have already filed an action to court, demanding to prohibit the Communist Party," the Justice Ministry said.

Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko will announce details of the suit at a news conference on Monday.

Chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine Valentyn Nalyvaichenko has said the SBU handed over to the Justice Ministry evidence of the Communist Party's separatist activities.

13:37 The Foreign Affairs Ministry of Ukraine has called on the European Union to introduce new sanctions against Russia, deputy foreign affairs minister Danylo Lubkivskyi has told a briefing.

Lubkivskyi said that less unified pressure from the EU, United States and the international society on the whole, Kremlin would not stop its aggression in the east of Ukraine.

Lubkivskyi notes that Russia has not yet toughen control at the border with Ukraine letting trucks with mercenaries penetrate the territory of Ukraine.

The Foreign Affairs Ministry of Ukraine hopes for introduction of additional sanctions by international community against Russia.
