Disappointed Turchynov Refuses To Give Detailed Comments On UN ICJ's Decision On Ukraine's Lawsuit Against Russia

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksandr Turchynov says he disappointed with the decision of the United Nations International Court of Justice on Ukraine's lawsuit against Russia.

He told this to Ukrainian News Agency.

"Let the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine comments this decision. I am disappointed," he said.

He refused to give his opinion in details.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on April 19, 2017, the United Nations International Court of Justice said that Ukraine provided insufficient evidence that Russia is financing terrorism. It also determined that it has jurisdiction over Ukraine's case against Russia. The court ordered Russia to provide activities of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis and ensure availability of education in the Ukrainian language in the Russia-annexed Crimea.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko says the UN International Court of Justice made a promising decision in Ukraine's lawsuit against Russia.
