Sberbank's Outlet In Ternopil Resumes Operation, Outlets In Kyiv And Dnipro Remain Blocked

On March 20, 2017, Sberbank resumed operation of its outlet in Ternopil. its outlets in Kyiv and Dnipro remain blocked.

The press service of the financial institution announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The outlet of Sberbank in Ternopil was blocked on Saturday, March 18, 2017.

Sberbank has sent statements to law enforcement agencies on all incidents.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 16, 2017, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko enacted the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) on imposition of sanctions against five commercial banks with Russian state capital - Sberbank, VS Bank, Prominvestbank, VTB Bank and BM Bank.

On March 7, 2017, Sberbank of Russia announced it had begun providing services to customers with "passports" issued by the "Donetsk People's Republic" and "Luhansk People's Republic."

Sberbank is a public joint-stock bank controlled by the Russian financial institution of the same name.
